Started meeting in 1979 at Willow Road School and the Orange Hall (Waterloo Avenue) as Willowdale Christian Fellowship, Guelph, ON. Tuesday night prayer meetings were hosted by Albert & Marie Stuart in their home on Woodlawn Road E. Prayer breakfasts were hosted by Ronald & Carol Phillips monthly on Saturdays, specifically to pray about the purchase of a permanent location. These prayer breakfasts were hosted at their home. Purchased property at current address to move in the fall of 1985. Expanded building with opening of new section in 2002.
Robert L. Peterson writes: "Willowdale Christian Fellowship in Guelph began in 1979, with its first meetings at the Willow Road School. Eight families from Guelph Bible Chapel, Guelph, ON were involved in the start-up. The assembly later moved to Arkell Road to become the Arkell Road Bible Chapel, Guelph, ON. Leadership over the years includes Evered Penn, Campbell Round, James Conover, and Peter Bolton. About 120 adults and youngsters attend the assembly."
