[edit] Category:All Categories
Just wanted to let you know that Wikipedia has their "All Categories" simply called "Categories". So it would be... Category:Categories. Wikible Also uses that system. We may want to do the same here just for consistency with other wikis. --Tom 16:08, 12 February 2007 (EST)
- Ok, I will change to categories for the sake of consistency. "All Categories" has an advantage that new visitors would immediately know what it means. What do you say?? Dr. Johnson C. Philip 23:25, 12 February 2007 (EST)
- If you say 'All Categories', is it really all of them or only the top categories? That may also be implied by using "Categories", but not as much. my two cents. --Tom 13:19, 13 February 2007 (EST)
- All Categories would include all -- main and sub categories. For time being I have changed the title on home page to "Categories". Only the title. Let me have your valuable feedback. How are your studies going on? Have you ever visited http://www.TrinityTheology.org ? Dr. Johnson C. Philip 23:06, 13 February 2007 (EST)
- Ultimately I'm fine with it, it's a rather minor thing in the larger view of everything. It's more the idea that Wikipedia has produced a pretty good organization of categories and such, and I don't see any need to try to reinvent it, except where they wouldn't cover as much such as Plymouth Brethren topics. As far as the sub categories and such, in a technical sense they are not part of the 'All Categories', they are only part of it in a logical sense... if that makes sense ;-). --Tom 10:25, 14 February 2007 (EST)
- Thanks Tom. I got what you are trying to say. Pls keep an eye on my work and do continue to offer feedback. By the way, since the Wikipedia is a general encyclopedia, it has an extensive category system. We do not need that much -- being a specialized wiki. Dr. Johnson C.
