Dear Friend

Thank you very much joining the Brethren Wiki and also for making one or more contributions. It would be good for all of us to know each other.

When you log in, you will see your name at the top left of the page. You can click the name and add information about yourself, and it will be available to all.

Use the "my talk" page immediately on the right of your name for communication purposes, such as this posting and its reply. If you sign your reply using four tildes ~~~~ at the end of your statement, this will automatically introduce your name and the date in the appropriate format. This will also ensure that the person with whom you are communicating will automatically get a notice when you post a reply.

The reply to a posting on the Talk page should be preceded by one or more colon marks ":" as each colon mark will indent the answer by a certain amount, helping everyone to know that this is a response. Dr. Johnson C. Philip 11:59, 11 September 2006 (EDT)

[edit] The Article

I have amended this article to show that Household Baptism is generally by immersion and generally in the house itself. There have been occasions when adults have been sprinkled in the meeting room, Exclusives as a whole do not make a tremendous fuss about the hows and whys but DO acknowledge its importance ipso facto. Church and Chapel Christenings and Baptisms are recognised as a fait accompli and rebaptism would not be encouraged unless the fact of the original baptism was unclear. Exclusives would of course baptise unbaptised converts and their children of minority age too with their parent(s).

I do not think that is correct to that those that sided with William Kelly practiced only believer's baptism. All the continental and UK brethren who are in the Lowe/Kelly/Glanton grouping have household baptism as well as baptising unbaptised adult believers. The article from Stem Publishing at the bottom of the page seems to confirm this.

This essay is titled as "Baptism" whereas it is only a sub-section of Baptism. I am putting it in perspective Dr. Johnson C. Philip 11:59, 11 September 2006 (EDT)
