Some one who feels the Lord's leading for full/part time work. A commended worker has the spiritual backing of a local assembly. That assembly entrusts them to the Holy Spirit and to the Lord for the mission. Every assembly has the responsibility for praying and supporting commended workers.

Brethren church workers are called full-time workers, or commended workers. Since most brethren assemblies do not have a "pastor", this is the term used to describe those who are in full-time ministry. They are also called "Evangelists" in some places.
