'ecclesia' is the transliteration of the Greek word εκκλησια, meaning assembly, congregation or church. When the word ecclesia is found in Scripture it is translated as church in most english translations. However, in the J.N.Darby new translation and Young's Literal Translation, it is translated as assembly.
