Church

Church is the word most commonly used for the Greek word εκκλησια. The word 'church' refers to the Body of Christ, but is avoided in most Brethren circles because of the Roman Catholic (the original Christians and church of Christ) usage of the word to refer to that denomination because they were the original church of Christ, or the use of the word by many denominations to refer to a place of worship. The word 'assembly' is prefered instead.
