  • Douglas Russell came from Scotland to a district near Galt, where he had relatives in the Clyde and Valens area and planted assemblies

Note: According to the autobiography of J.J. Rouse, Douglas Russell did not plant assemblies in Canada. He writes that Russell preached around Galt, but returened to Scotland before any assemblies were planted. Then Donald Munro came over four years later and planted where Russell had preached. It was not until Russell's return to Scotland that he became connected with the Brethren Assemblies. Rouse attributes his information source to T.D.W. Muir.
